Oliver Wight welcomes new associate, Gary Connors

Oliver Wight, business improvement specialists, are pleased to announce the appointment of a new consultant for their European, African and Middle East operation; Gary Connors. With over 25 years’ experience in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries and specialising in implementing improvement initiatives across supply chains, Connors will be invaluable in maintaining Oliver Wight’s reputation as the industry experts in delivering business excellence.

Prior to joining Oliver Wight, Connors already had first-hand experience of the company, having directed the Oliver Wight Class A improvement process at leading healthcare organisation, Novartis, driving the implementation of both a Total Productive Maintenance programme and Productivity Improvement scheme. As Managing Director, Connors managed a team of over 700. He had full P&L responsibility and delivered over £4bn sales every year for the UK operation. Connors also worked with GSK Pharmaceutical primary plants across Europe, USA and Singapore in a private consultancy capacity, delivering improvements in data accuracy, planning and scheduling process design.

Having graduated with a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Cape Town University, Connors began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in South Africa as a Chemical Engineer, before gaining experience in a variety of roles, project-managing a diverse range of schemes in both mid-size and large corporations.
