Oliver Wight EAME promotes Kirsty Braines to Chief Operating Officer

Oliver Wight is delighted to announce that Managing Partner, Kirsty Braines, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Kirsty is a Chartered Manufacturing Engineer and joined Oliver Wight EAME as a Partner in 2007, having previously worked in senior operations and supply chain roles for manufacturing organisations. During her time at Oliver Wight she has helped companies across a diverse range of industries improve supply chain performance and achieve Class A in Integrated Business Planning.

Kirsty says her main aim as COO is to ensure that Oliver Wight continues to deliver against its strategy of providing great value for its customers and a key aspect of the role is in developing Oliver Wight’s strategic alliances. “It’s something I have been responsible for over the past couple of years, most recently with EY and SAP,” she says. “We have lots of exciting opportunities with our alliance partners, and I will be spending more time with them on developing our thought leadership for today’s digital world.”

Indeed, it is the opportunities the digital era brings that is a particular focus for Kirsty. “We want to help our customers realise the full potential of the latest technology,” she explains. “It is vitally important they embrace it, because it has the capability to transform the quality of their decision-making to deliver real benefits to the bottom line, whilst maintaining competitive advantage.”

In her new role, Kirsty will also be also responsible for the sales, marketing and finance functions at Oliver Wight’s HQ in Gloucester.
