When did you join Oliver Wight?

I have been working with Oliver Wight for around 14 years initially as a customer, but I was then trained and certified by Oliver Wight to deliver IBP programs within the business I was working in, and this was the focus of my working life for around 6 years. I joined Oliver Wight officially in April 2021.

Tell us about yourself! What does your day-to-day role at Oliver Wight involve?

The day-to-day work is extremely varied within my role in Oliver Wight which is one of the attractions – anything from diagnostics, content design, education, process design and coaching – which is one of my personal favourites.

What attracted you to the role?

Working with Oliver Wight gives me the opportunity to work with different and interesting clients, in various markets and sectors and enables me to use my previous experience to help people and organisations improve their capability and realise their potential.

Prior to joining the Oliver Wight team what did you do?

My career has mainly been in manufacturing, planning, and supply chain management although I did run a sales organisation for a period.

Prior to joining Oliver Wight, I was an IBP Deployment Leader for around 6 years before joining a large medical device business as the Director of Supply Chain Management EMEA and then the Senior Director responsible for IBP EMEA.

What three words best describe you?

Pragmatic, reliable, and prepared.

What is your idea of a utopian workplace?

Somewhere the work is varied, the people are interesting and knowledgeable, and where you are valued.

What are your interests outside of work?

Family is at the centre of my life and I like to spend any spare time with them and my Labrador “Ed”- outside of that I really like motorcycling and have 2 bikes now which I ride whenever I can.

You’re an animal for a day – what are you and why?

A Labrador – if my Labrador is anything to go by then you sleep, eat, play, and repeat – not a bad life.
