Bas has over 25 years of experience in consumer products and discrete manufacturing businesses. With a background in operations and supply chain he has delivered transformational change in a number of leadership roles. 

Prior to joining Oliver Wight Bas' main roles were VP Supply Chain Strategy for RHI Magnesita and Supply Chain and S&OP Director for Bolsius. At RHI Magnesita Bas was one of the business leads that transformed the way the organization operated, moving from a limited S&OP process to IBP. Working hand-in-hand with the Oliver Wight team and global and regional teams, Bas helped to drive change at all levels of the organization. Bas also drove a step-change in how the business evolved and adopted tactical planning in unison with supply chain. This enabled decisive action in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and new levels of bottom-line performance afterwards. 

Bas has worked with different product categories with a range of routes to market and has broad experience implementing systems (ERP, APS, MES) as well as working with strategic investments at board level.
